Saddam Hussein’s personal diaries from when he was in prison were released this week. Oddly enough, one of his main concerns was catching the HIV virus while in prison.
I guess he must have had a roommate named Big Bubba Muhammad.

On May 5, 2008 at 10:40 pmyou’ve got to be pulling my leg right? did it matter if he died of AIDS or from being hung? it was gonna be torture either way. I think if I was in prison about to die I’d be worrying about macaroni and cheese and all the other food I would never have, all the things I never did like travel to places like australia or spend time with my family. I’d make sure my heart was right with God. but I’m sure I wouldn’t have thought of AIDS. however I do admire his thought process. not everybody can think on that level. he and bush couldve really been friends, they both seem weird.

But on a real note- what goes through peoples minds when they know they’re about to die… I wonder if he was sorry for the many lives he hurt… probably not though, since he more than likely was raised like that other little boy playing with bombs instead of sport balls.
