2011 NBA Mock Draft: Is Kenneth Faried the Surest Thing in 2011 Draft Class? Justin Edmonds/Getty Images

2011 NBA Mock Draft, Is Kenneth Faried The Surest thing In a Questionable Draft Class?

The man who’s been labeled “The Next Dennis Rodman” measured in at just over 6’7″ at the NBA Combine.  The good news is that he’s taller than Dennis Rodman who was 6’6″.  The bad news, well, there’s no bad news.

Kenneth Faried has a wingspan of 7′ and a standing reach of 9′.  he may not be tall, but he has length.

He’s also very explosive.  Faried used his combination of length and athletic ability to pull down almost 1700 rebounds during his career at Morehead State.  he averaged 14.5 a game his senior year.

Rebounding is the easiest skill to transition from college basketball to the NBA.  There’s no way Faried busts.

He also averaged 2.3 blocks a game.  Faried will be a strong rebounder and defender in the NBA for years to come.

He’ll start out off the bench as a high energy player and will most likely work his way into a starting lineup eventually.

See DeJuan Blair: height is not an issue.  Blair doesn’t even have any ACL’s and he can eat up rebounds.  Faried has ACL’s.
