Alicia Keys writing style

I still write my lyrics with pen and paper because I like to see the process…but Alicia takes a different approach.

ALICIA KEYS is creating new song 24/7 and even writes lyrics on her cell phone when she finds inspiration while out and about.

She reveals she’s working on several new tracks at the same time, and insists ideas can pop into her head when she’s least expecting it.

Keys says, "I made some notes on my cell phone a couple of days ago.  The phone is my secret vault of music – really the only way I write lyrics."
