1329383034 23 Beyonce, Adele And Chris Brown Nominated For NAACP Image AwardsThe nominations for the 43rd Annual NAACP Image Awards were announced today, and Beyonce, Bruno Mars, Adele, Chris Brown, Jennifer Hudson, Lupe Fiasco, Drake and Mary J. Blige all received nominations. Notice anyone missing? How about Rihanna, the woman who has released three top 10 albums in as many years — one which is currently nominated for Album Of The Year at the Grammys — and the same pop star who boasts a single that has topped the Hot 100 for 10 weeks? What’s a girl got to do to be nominated by her peers?!

Though the awards traditionally honor “the accomplishments of people of color”, Adele scored a nomination for her single “Someone like You” for “Outstanding Song” and “Outstanding Music Video”.
