I’m playing catch up on the new season of "Curb Your Enthusiasm."
So sorr this is late, but… did you see Larry David’s Q & a with the Huffington Post?
Here’s the passage that has me, uh, scratching my head (my italics):
Puffy British game-show presenter Piers Morgan, who also hosts a show on CNN about Twitter, is in the spotlight these days because he formerly edited Rupert Murdoch’s News of the World and a competitor called the Daily Mirror, and as such is prima facie guilty of hacking into everyone’s voicemails all the time.
It’s a story Robin Sharma loves to tell, especially as it so neatly elucidates his own thinking: “when I was growing up my father took out a piece of paper and he translated a Sanskrit poem onto that piece of paper that I have never forgotten.

ECCENTRIC superstar Lady Gaga’s recent interview with TV’s Paul O’Grady may have drawn gasps from audiences for many different reasons.
Perhaps her bald head, bold lyrics or bright green wig might have been startling to some but, for me, it was the towering heels in which she tottered across the stage which caused the biggest surprise.
Jaw-hitting-floor pretty much sums of the scene at the recent opening of this city’s newest hotspot — La Société on Toronto’s own Mink Mile. The brainchild of nightlife impresario Charles Khabouth, the resto reminded me of new York’s Balthazar mixed with a bit of Pastis — and following in the great Keith McNally’s footsteps is not a bad thing. Hundreds of friends and well-wishers — all with the right last names — wanted a moment with mr. Khabouth to sing his praises. The immense space has been beautifully redesigned by Alessandro Munge and Sai Leung. Gorgeous dark wood radiates throughout the generous bar and a stunning ceiling of stained glass punctuated the dining perfectly.it was a colourful crowd indeed, a mix of socialites, captains of industry, local celebrities, some serious poseurs and a couple of lookie-loo’s who managed to dodge the leggy gals working the door.bright lights on the patio checking out the scene on Bloor Street included hair-care dynamo Robert Gage in colourful specs; Michael Budman and Diane Bald looking too cool; mega-film producer Robert Lantos; film producer, developer/design duo Danny Greenglass and Joe Brennan; Canada AM host Seamus O’Regan; radio host Jian Ghomeshi; the fabulous Suzanne Boyd, editor-in-chief of Zoomer Magazine; Moses Znaimer, head of Zoomer Media; and Kevin Brauch, host of Iron Chef America.A few days later, I had the pleasure of lunching on the outdoor patio (right across from French mega-producer David Guetta) and had thoroughly enjoyed my moules et frites! I asked Khabouth, “Why La Société?”“I spent a lot of time in bistros and brasseries growing up in Lebanon, and I love Paris, French food and culture. Paris and Toronto are my two favourite cities in the world, and La Société marries my passion for both worlds,” Khabouth enthused. “Toronto is constantly changing, and recently we’ve watched Bloor Street’s incredible transformation. this street is one of the most prominent streets in the country, and I love its energy. I wanted to contribute to that vibe by offering a bistro that is accessible, comfortable and also beautiful.”Weekend Post
