INDIANAPOLIS — Heartthrob rapper and actor Bow Wow and Grammy-nominee singer Monica will headline the postgame show of the Circle City Classic this year, event organizers announced Wednesday.the 28th annual event will be held on Oct. 1 at Lucas Oil Stadium.the Circle City Classic will feature a football game between historically black colleges Albany State University and Kentucky State University, with attractions for the entire family, event organizers said.the postgame concert is free with admission to the game.“Bow Wow and Monica offer musical enticement for a broad audience. the concert accents a weekend that already includes a top-flight high school football game, college fair, tailgate parties, comedy show, gospel explosion, classic cabaret, coronation pageant, parade and the perennial crowd pleasing battle of the bands.”Indiana Black Expo president Tanya Bell said the most gratifying aspect of the event is the amount of scholarships generated from the proceeds.“The Circle City Classic, co-sponsored by the Indiana Sports Corporation, has awarded more than $2.5 million to Hoosier students,” Bell said.Circle City Classic tickets are available through the Indiana Black Expo, TicketMaster locations or the event’s website www.circlecityclassic.com.
