1327718039 80 Why Wouldn’t Dennis Rodman be Coaching a Topless Women’s Basketball Team?

Dennis Rodman could shock the world by doing any one of a number of things: not coloring his hair, not getting anything pierced, showering, etc. The flip side of that coin, though, is that Rodman has carved out a certain pop culture niche for himself as a doer of atypical (for the rest of humanity), crazy things. And as a constant doer of crazy things, he’s raised the bar for achievable craziness so high that even he can’t meet the requirements for noteworthy behavior anymore.

1325628979 38 Black Gossip: Dennis Rodman must be smoking crack again

Even when Dennis Rodman was a really good NBA basketball player, he would do just about anything for attention. Rodman once wore a woman’s dress and a full face of makeup to a book signing. I guess being an NBA superstar just wasn’t good enough for the guy who would change his hair color twenty times a season.

Alonzo Gee is a second-year swing man who played in forty games, and started twenty-nine, for the Cavaliers last season. Expectations for Gee were minimal when he signed with the Cavaliers about a quarter of the way through the season. However, Alonzo was able to provide some stability at the small forward position, which was clearly the weakest spot on the floor for the team.

The litmus test involving Phil Jackson's attachment came when he found himself watching the Pan American Games on Wednesday night, and remained interested in the U.S.' 77-76 victory over the Dominican Republic.

While the Candace Parker era feels like forever ago, it barely seems like yesterday that we were referring to the wave of post-Parker Lady Vols as the Baby Vols.  After UT’s most recent national championship, the entire starting lineup was drafted into the WNBA and the sheer number of replacements created one of the biggest experience-to-youth turnovers ever seen in a program.  But today, the roster again has five seniors (one of which is a redshirt senior) with two juniors and a sophomore to bridge the gap between this year and the next round of Lady Vols.

There’s not a whole lot to talk about regarding the NBA right now, given the fact that they are NOT playing. So I’ve compiled a list of weird and fun NBA facts to hold you guys over until they get their…stuff together.
