Actress Brigitte Nielsen was hospitalized Thursday following a car accident.
The accident occurred in the Hollywood Hills when a woman in a Toyota Matrix rear-ended a Porshe Cayenne Nielsen was a passenger in. The Porshe then hit the car in front of it.

Things have cooled somewhat for Public Enemy, the self-proclaimed “Prophets of Rage.” They made five albums post-2000, all of which failed to match the impact of their first turn-of-the-’90s dynasty.
The honor of the first 10 paddle and the top score of the night went to Ricki Lake, who did a nail-biting tango to Bernard Herrmann’s terrific score to Alfred Hitchcock’s “Psycho.” Though a lot of the credit had to go to pro partner Derek Hough, who did an extraordinarily good job with the choreography. Ricki looked great in her formal black dress, and the fast-moving tempo brought a nice intensity to the dancing shower scene that was matched by the performance. Though the pièce de résistance was the ingenious use of the menacing “shower curtain,” which turned from white to red after Derek “stabbed” Ricki and punctuated the routine with a deliciously frightening shiver. “You’re like the U.S. Mail: you always deliver,” Len said to Ricki, though he told her to “get a little bit more neck going.” Bruno called the dance “a blockbusting performance worthy of three sequels,” eloquently calling out “the thrill of the chase. The buildup of tensions. The chilling ending. an immaculate tribute to the master of suspense.” Carrie Ann said, simply, that the dance was “brilliant in the ballroom.” And when Ricki and Derek received a 29 out of 30 for their performance, they got a standing ovation right there in the sky box. For me, Fun Fun Fun Fest 2010 brought about what amounts to a change of musical faith. I used to be the guy who hates large outdoor festivals. I thought that they were far from ideal situations for bands and audiences, and that in large, vibrant music communities like Austin, music fans should just stick with seeing great artists perform in smaller venues. Fun Fun Fun turned me into a true believer in the value of large, outdoor, multi-day music festivals. I had one of the best live music experiences of my life, and look forward to this year’s Reign in Blood at Auditorium Shores.
