Nicolas Cage’s son Weston was “four drinks short of death” when he was hospitalized after a fight.
The 20-year-old musician – Nicolas’ son with ex-girlfriend Christina Fulton – insists he is now “incredibly clean” following the altercation with his personal trainer Kevin Villegas, which led to him being taken to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, where he received eight stitches and underwent a psychological evaluation.

Dylan Josh Zara, 28, is charged with sexual intercourse, sodomy, oral copulation, sexual penetration and possession of child pornography.
There is no indication that any children at the school or camp where he worked were involved.
According to investigators, the crimes began in February, 2010 when the child was five-years-old, and continued through July 20, 2011.

I was totally guilted into starting a Facebook page a couple years ago by Luan Mendel, the most excellent novelist (Yard Sale) and wife of Honda’s U.S. boss John Mendel. as much as my skin crawls thinking of the little billionaire weasel who started Facebook (or stole it from those loser Winklevoss twins), I have been sucked into the social wormhole. From writers to designers to racing drivers; from extended family to virtual high-school reunions to the vast number of reader “friends” whom I’ve never met—Facebook is an all day and night news feed of the stuff that makes my world go around.
Among the unexpected surprises that have come our way via the insidious, suspicious world of Facebook: The art of Nicolas Cancelier via his friend request (“Speed Strokes,” September 2010). Car designer Jason White’s how-to car-design book, Old School Viscom (“20 Steps to Draw a Car,” February 2011) via his friend request. The outpouring of condolences and remembrances on the sad occasion of the death in March of our founder, David E. Davis, Jr. (Letters, June 2011) I am understandably an enthusiastic participant.

A few weeks after Lantigua’s inauguration, a garbage truck rolled into town — courtesy of the new mayor of Lawrence.
“That’s the garbage truck that was a gift from Lantigua,’’ said Jose Rafael Gonzalez, the man in charge of garbage collection in Tenares, pointing at the big truck on a muddy, rain-spattered hilltop on the outskirts of town. “It’s in good condition. It’s the father of the municipality.’’

I was in the live audience for “Late Night with Conan O’Brien” twice – once in early 1995 at his Rockefeller Center home in new York about a year after he succeeded David Letterman as NBC’s 12:30 a.m., host and more than 12 years later when he broadcast shows from the Orpheum Theatre here, about two years before he gave way to Jimmy Fallon.
