The Hangover part II hit an unexpected snag shortly before its theatrical release, when tattoo artist S. Victor Whitmill sued the production company for using his copyrighted design for Mike Tyson’s facial art without permission. while Whitmill initially intended to halt the theatrical release of the film, a Missouri court denied the injunction due to the difficulties it would cause numerous parties unrelated to the case: theaters who booked the film, for example. but it’s not over. Oh no. And Warner Bros. is ready to digitally alter the DVD release to change the tattoo design on Ed Helms’ face if necessary.
