Beyonce and Jay-Z hit the streets of New York City this weekend for a little holiday partying and dancing. the superstar couple was spotted spending some QT together at New York City’s W.I.P. Work in Progress in the lower level of club Greenhouse, reports PEOPLE.
With all due respect to a certain Lil rapper from new Orleans, rap’s reigning champions are Jay-Z and Kanye West. Word that they would collaborate on a joint album and blockbuster tour was about as huge as hip-hop news can be.
After setting up shop in Birmingham, AL for two weeks during stage rehearsals, Jay-Z and Kanye West–now collectively known as the Throne–are headed to Atlanta, where they’ll kick off the fall leg of their highly anticipated Watch the Throne tour. the inaugural show is on Friday night (October 28) in the city’s Phillips Arena.

LOS ANGELES – Professor, author and radio host Michael Eric Dyson has long been an ardent proponent of hip-hop, and now he’s teaching a course on one of the genre’s biggest purveyors: Jay-Z.
the course, “Sociology of Hip-Hop: Jay-Z,” is a three-credit, twice-weekly lecture in session at Georgetown University, where Dyson has been a professor since 2007.
