Ke$ha’s new song “We R Who We R” is meant to honor LGBTQ youth, The Advocate reports:
Ke$ha has a new single coming out soon, and it should be weightier than her usual tunes about drinking and partying.
Released Tuesday (Jan 24), the massive album Chimes of Freedom: the Songs of Bob Dylan Honoring 50 Years of Amnesty International is set to make a huge mark in music history and humanity.
Senior communication majors Faren Haas and Raven Grant formed their band, Dear Calypso, in December of 2010 and have known each other since 2007.
they met when both arrived at ISU as freshmen in the theater department. in an unplanned bit of synchronicity, they both also transferred to the communication department at the same time.
He’s afraid you won’t shut up. Oh, come on, you had to have seen this one coming! while he’d ordinarily be fascinated by your theory that the quarterback looks bloated because he can’t stop stress eating after a few bad starts, you’re not going to get his full attention during sudden-death overtime. in fact, it’s a little-known fact that the term “sudden death” comes from the idea that there will be a sudden death if you don’t stop talking. do the math: final half of the last quarter = minimal chit-chat.
It’s a nippy night and the Majestic Café is full of life. Allied Media is throwing a bowling extravaganza a few doors down at the Garden Bowl in anticipation of their annual music conference set for the next day at MOCAD. They’re also hosting an open mic for high school-aged poets in the café, and, while the performances are surprisingly engrossing and ambitious, the night’s highlights are sure to be the performance by Detroit’s "black-noise" duo dark Red and the peculiarly named Duane, "the Teenaged Weirdo."

How about some summer in the middle of the fall? Because that’s the season NERVO‘s video for their single “We’re all No One” makes us think of.

Joss Stone has spent most of her career trying to convince listeners that she’s a major artist, even while she’s also tried to convince listeners that’s she’s a major star. In both cases, she’s gotten by on her voice, which is irrefutably remarkable, and her self-confidence, which is almost as strong. Simply by acting like a major star—right down to the frequent self-mythologizing—she’s managed to amass some substantial credibility and fame. That’s not to say that she’s entirely undeserving—her voice truly is a unique and powerful instrument, especially in this day and age where the likes of Rihanna and Ke$ha can be lauded as “singers”. still, there’s always been an asterisk around her career, one that always overshadows even the best of her work. The best of Joss Stone: 2003-2009 not only doesn’t smooth out this uncertainty, it actually emphasizes it.
When we brought you the news that Betty White was rapping now, you were probably like, enough already with the Betty White! She’s ancient history!
“Daring to be different” is the motto of the N.C. State marching band, a mantra they’ve managed to live up to. one can witness just how different they are in a single football game. aside from just the traditional college themes, the band also incorporates popular songs and classics into their lineup, including both new music and classics. They have been known to play Jimmy Buffet, Kenny Chesney, Ke$ha and Pink, and are planning upcoming shows featuring Queen, Elvis and Sinatra.
B.o.B has been getting compared to Andre 3000 ever since the 2009 XXL Freshman stepped out onto the scene and according to Grand Hustle label boss, T.I., fans will finally get a chance to hear the two together on the same track. Nicole Scherzinger has premiered the “Try With Me” music video! the dance-ballad, written and produced by The Nervo Twins (who have worked with the likes of Kylie Minogue, Ke$ha or David Guetta), serves as the official lead single from the Scherzy’s upcoming European re-release of her debut album “Killer Love”. We could hear the DEMO of “Try With Me” sung by Nervo last week, and it was evident such a powerful, well-structured, tempo perfect song was gonna come handy for Nicole’s soaring diva vocals. and having heard HER final version, she indeed SHINES. This single can be massive for her! I mean, “Try With Me” has ALL the ingredients a hit requires. It’s stunning! now all Nicole gotta do is promote the single correctly. As for the music video, this was shot in early October 2011 in a lost rainforest in Mexico and sees beautiful Nicole wandering through breathtaking sites, playing the piano in a lake, spinning around in ecstasy, and executing glamorous poses while in the wild. LOVE!!
2) “Someone like You” by Adele
Girls have had a good crack at being both difficult to Google and a decent present-day Beach Boys. Clocking it at a frantic 2 minutes 34 seconds, Honey Bunny is so abundantly happy that I want to jump in and swim around in it, washing my face with all its joy. There’s surf guitar! There’s a red herring mournful middle eight! There’s a chorus that’s catchier than Peter Schmeichel’s hands! also enjoyable is the video, which looks like VBS.tv directed an advert for Babybel, and features singer Christopher Owens wearing a quality purple sunglasses/cowboy boots combo that makes him look uncannily like a man-Ke$ha.
Katy Perry has won the hearts, ears and attention of many since she shot to fame with I Kissed a Girl (with a video featuring a pre-chart-busting Ke$ha) in 2008. a certain X Factor mogul was recently less-than-complimentary about her, in addition to fellow pop queens Beyoncé and Lady Gaga, but regardless of these comments the Teenage Dream songstress could be about to go down in music history books with her next single if she beats a record held by the King of Pop…
