Gwen Stefani paid homage to her love of Japanese culture yesterday as she arrived to host a fundraising tea party for the earthquake-stricken country. She had her No Doubt bandmates Tony Kanal, Tom Dumont, and Adrian Young by her side as she showed up at Culver City, CA’s Royal/T Cafe in Harajuku style, wearing cherry blossoms in her hair and a kimono-inspired romper. Gwen has been finding ways to give back to Japan ever since the disaster and also auctioned off some memorabilia on eBay earlier this year to help earn money for the cause. She and her band are also planning to put out a new album soon and have been in the studio working on new tracks since last year. the foursome are rumored to be gearing up for a major tour and the release of their first album in a decade, and No Doubt spoke with Entertainment Weekly about their years apart. in the magazine, Gwen says her successful solo career as a singer is almost certainly a thing of the past. She said, “That was a moment in time. It went on a little longer than we all thought it would, because it was inspired and you have to go with wherever you’re at in that time in your life . . . [But] everything works out how it should.”
