Rihanna’s 100-date “Loud” tour kicked off in June and just ended last month. During that time, she was admitted to a Swedish hospital with the flu, almost canceled a concert in Ireland because of exhaustion and had to leave a show in Portugal to vomit.
But instead of slowing down and focusing on her health now that the tour’s over, she’s partying more than ever. And her friends and family are urging her to go to rehab, The National Enquirer is reporting.
“Rihanna has gone off the deep end,” a “source in the music industry” tells the mag. “She has been burning the candle at both ends for nearly a year and now she’s on the verge of collapse. Her friends and family have been warning her that if she doesn’t seek help, she’ll wind up dead like Amy Winehouse.”
Amy, a notorious abuser of drugs and alcohol, died in July at the age of 27. And Rihanna’s friends fear that the 23-year-old, who has lost 10 pounds in the past few weeks, “is on a similar path of self-destruction.” but the singer claims she doesn’t have a problem.
Rihanna is still young and can’t be blamed for enjoying her success to the fullest. but there have been too many stories about her hard partying over the past few months for the Enquirer’s report not to be at least partially accurate. However, if BFF Katy Perry and recovering addict Russell Brand couldn’t convince her to get help, then Rihanna’s friends and family might have to appeal to Jay-Z and her label to talk her into rehab. And hopefully, while they’re at it, they can talk her out of getting back together with Chris Brown. no one wants to see a talented performer like Rihanna throw it all away when she has such a bright future ahead of her.
