Erykah Badu’s stalker arrested

Soul singer Erykah Badu’s performance was delayed after police arrested an alleged stalker who barricaded the singer inside her Texas home.

The soul star nearly missed her performance at the Austin music festival on Saturday after calling police to report a woman who had visited her home multiple times had “several miscellaneous items spread out in the grass”.

 
Badu took to her Twitter.com page to update fans, writing: “Police just apprehended a stalker in front of my house. Stay tuned for details”.

Authorities arrived, prompting the woman to take off on foot before she was “pepper sprayed and hand cuffed”, according to Badu.

We are glad Erykah didn’t get injured, but it’s ironic how Twitter is becoming just as important as 911.
