Different Strokes alum and former star Gary Coleman lost his battle to a brain hemorrhage this past Friday, May 28,2010; this comes just 24 hours after Coleman was admitted to the hospital, as a result of suffering from a fall at the home he shares with his wife.
It was reported that the Different Strokes actor had taken a nasty fall at his home and was said to have experienced unbearable head pain as a result. Coleman was then rushed to the emergency room where after receiving numerous tests, Doctors informed Coleman that he was suffering from a Hemorrhage in the brain.
Sources are reporting that Coleman remained conscious and lucid for a period of time before becoming unconscious and subsequently slipping into a coma and being put on life support. It was only when doctors informed Coleman’s wife that Coleman was brain dead that she made the difficult decision to remove her husband from life support and the actor passed away.
Gary Coleman has suffered from numerous health issues in the past including seizures and kidney failure. Coleman was only 42 years old when he died.
