Janet Jackson does NOT want her niece to start a career as a professional actress!
She says 13-year-old Paris Jackson, who’s making her acting debut in the fantasy film Lundon’s Bridge and the three Keys, is too young for fame.
Janet certainly has some insight! The singer started her show biz career at the age of 7, and knows what it’s like to grow up working in the entertainment industry, AND saw how young fame affected Paris’ dad Michael Jackson.
She spoke openly on the subject, saying:
“I think she should enjoy her youth. You’re only young once and to really have a wonderful time and enjoy it, she has the rest of her life to be an adult, and she should study, she should go to school and study the craft and think about college and maybe study abroad, acting, and then when she becomes 18 she could dive into it if she wants.”
It sounds like she’s legitimately concerned for Paris’ welfare. That, OR she’s enjoying her time as the most famous person in the family!
Either way, it doesn’t really matter. Paris is gonna be in the movie despite her lime-light hogging auntie’s misgivings.
Rumor is Paris convinced her grandma to let her star in the film by telling her Michael would have appreciated the message of the film.
Exploiting people’s feelings to get what you want, Paris? we think she’ll do just fine in show biz!
