It's well-known that wearing towering heels can exacerbate foot conditions like bunions, hammer toe and plantar fasciitis. But that information has apparently not reached the ears of Kelly Rowland, who admitted to Juicy Magazine that she is a "shoe whore."
"I own almost over 200 pairs. I don’t know how many red bottoms I own. I’ve recently been able to wear [Christian Louboutins]. My foot didn’t quite fit in ‘em, but now I can," the singer told Juicy.
Rowland was also featured on the BET website wearing an array of towering, funky shoes. these included a pair of heel-less Giuseppe Zanotti shoes, some pointy-toed purple pumps on the red carpet and towering leopard print booties.
Rowland may be smiling now, but once she gets a little older, the singer may find herself with bunions or hammer toe. Luckily, Rowland and other shoe addicts can stave off painful bunion surgery with bunion splints or orthotics, which have been shown to potentially correct bony foot problems.
