Poor Kim Kardashian and Khloe Kardshian recently fell victim to something that average Internet users suffer from on a weekly basis—a Twitter death hoax.
The sisters were totally freaking out because “RIP Cher” was trending on Twitter. Luckily the legendary musician is still alive, but for a little while, Kim and Khloe were getting rather upset.
Here’s what Kim first tweeted about the death rumor:
“Did I juist hear Cher has passed away? is this real? OMG.” Khloe also started inquiring about the news, but luckily a few kind Tweeple were quick to let Kim and Khloe know that news of Cher’s death was just another stupid hoax.
Khloe was still concerned when a fan told her that it was just a rumor, because she tweeted, “For sure? I can’t find it on the news…. Wow! People are sick to make that up!” Her sister was similarly upset, launching her own Twitter attack on the Tweeple who started the rumor: “Can’t believe people would make up a sick joke like Cher died. these people need to get a life! Thanks twitter for clearing that up!” So Twitter has saved the day once again—Kim Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian can now rest easy knowing that Cher will live to try and turn back time another day.
But why were they so upset about the death hoax, anyway? Kim’s probably a fan of the musician because she’s worked so hard to fight aging and went through a very public divorce just like Cher did. if you think about it, Sonny and Cher were kind of like reality show stars back in the day. And Khloe probably loves her because she also has to deal with mean comments about being mannish—Cher’s got a very deep voice, and Khloe’s haters target her size. or maybe they just got the musician mixed up with the fashionable character from Clueless.
Whatever the reason they got upset, since Kim Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian reacted the way they did to the death hoax, don’t be surprised to see some crazy story about them dying in a plane crash sometime soon.
