Nick Cannon has refused to comment on whether his wife Mariah Carey is pregnant with their first child, but he did say that she will be the one to make the announcement if it is true.
After pictures have been circulating of the singer looking as if she’s sporting a baby bump were taken during a recent performance in Brazil rumors have been yet again fuelled.
On his radio show at New York’s 92.3FM, Nick Cannon said: "I’ve said it before and I’ll say it time and time again – when my wife feels like talking about whatever she wants to talk about, you will hear it directly from her.
"We all know it’s extremely personal, and it is for a woman to deal with things with her body, and especially when dealing with the idea of childbirth and all that stuff."
Cannon also added that there’s a certain waiting period in any case if Mariah was to announce that she was indeed pregnant.
He said: "That’s something you want to keep near and dear and as close to you as you possibly can, until you’re 100 percent sure, in any situation.
"There’s a certain time limit you’re supposed to wait before you can actually officially say that you are and all that stuff. You don’t want to mislead anybody."
It seems as though they are waiting to get past the first trimester before they make an official announcement, don’t you?
