The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Award nominations for 2012 are out and sees an outstanding amount of nominees who deserve an accolade.
British songstress Adele is up for two of the awards for Outstanding Song and Outstanding Music Video for her hit “Someone like You,” and among the nominations this year are Bruno Mars, Kirk Franklin, Cee Lo Green, Beyonce, The Roots, Boyz II Men, Lupe Fiasco, Jennifer Hudson, Jill Scott, Ledisi, Mary J Blige, Jill Scott, George Benson and Sounds of Blackness.
Young rapper Diggy Simmons is up for the Outstanding new Artist as well as R&B boy group Mindless Behaviour, whilst emcee/actor Common also sees a nomination for Outstanding Male Artist and Chris Brown is up for Outstanding Album for his last studio album F.a.M.E. take a look at the nominations list below.
The NAACP Image Awards are broadcast on Feb. 17 at 8PM EST on NBC.
