Regardless though it is an illegal “drug” so I can’t argue with how the police want to deal with it. I can’t help but imagine they did this either to bribe him or make an example because of who his half brother is.

I highly doubt he was working to try and contribute to Obama’s campaign (which doesn’t make sense now) For the simple fact that he’s living below the poverty line and lives in a shack. However he is content and told the media he isn’t looking for a handout from his half brother. It was the media who came to George hoping to get a story and sensationalize the huge difference between the 2 brothers lives.

As far as I know from reading (but I can’t say 100% unless I was able to directly speak to both partys) George does not want anything from Obama but loves and respects what he’s achieved.
Obama I have no idea how he feels about all this since they pretty much haven’t discussed it openly and I’ve read no comments.One thing I would say is half brother or not I would try to help out my brother half or not even if I barely knew him if I knew he needed help, but then again half siblings is a touchy subject especially since they did not grow up together at all.
With that said though, it must be hard because if Obama were to openly help George I’m sure people would complain and say “our tax dollars are helping his family get new homes” bla bla. So most likely he has to step back to not cause issues.
