Russell Simmons married to Def Comedy Jam II

Def Comedy Jam may be coming back.  Check out my all time favorite episode…I still know every word by heart.

 

Hip-hop mogul RUSSELL SIMMONS is planning to give U.S. TV audiences a laugh, after signing a deal to co-produce a new stand-up comedy show. 

 

Simmons and producer Stan Lathan are following up their hit HBO program Def Comedy Jam with the as-yet-untitled series for Comedy Central.

 

The pair’s previous TV venture launched the careers of comics including Chris Tucker, Dave Chappelle, Martin Lawrence, Steve Harvey, Mo’Nique and the late Bernie MAC.  The series is scheduled to air this summer.
