Prissy’s Picks for the month of January will be called The Jump-Off Takeover. This is strictly to highlight people who literally “used what they got to get what they wanted”. I will keep the same title, but the name will change with each of my picks. With that said, let me introduce you to Nicole Alexander whom many of you know as “Hoopz”. Nicole was a TSA agent at a Detriot airport prior to appearing on the first season of the VH1 reality show, Flava of love in which she won. Hoopz got her nickname from Flava Flav because was the tomboy of the show that expressed her love for basketball. Of course after she won…she left Flava Flav high and dry.
After the show, Hoopz never looked back. She landed modeling jobs for different Men’s magazines. Hoopz has been linked different athletes and also to rapper T. I. The rumors even caused tiny and Tip to end their relationship at one point. She started dating retired NBA player, Shaquille O’Neal during the summer of 2011. They would post goofy pictures of the two of them on twitter and she also includes him on her blog. The couple is said to have eloped…WITHOUT a PRENUP!
Why is she Prissy’s Pick? Because Hoopz is good at what she does…which is being herself. Even though she does get the jump-off title…there’s nothing like a girl that genuinely likes to have fun and enjoy life. She like that around the way girl that you can hang out with on the basketball court, shoot “HOOPZ” and just chill. She’s not walking around all made up wearing Christian Louboutins. You will more than likely catch her out in some flats with her hair pulled back in a ponytail. Even though there’s not a prenup, she seems to make Shaq happy. Nothing against Shaunie (who is also a jump-off), but he seems to enjoy Hoopz. She makes him smile….good for you Hoopz.
