For all of my fellow Louisianians and R&B/Soul music lovers who travel here to attend the Essence Music Festival, I have great news for you! The lineup for this year’s event has been announced.
Mary J. Blige, Aretha Franklin, Fantasia and Keyshia Cole are just a few of the big names you can expect to see hitting the stage. SWV, Ledisi, Charlie Wilson and Raheem DeVaughn will also set foot on the stage during the weekend.
The theme of this year is “The Power of Our Voices”, so music won’t be the only thing you guys will be watching and enjoying this year, you can expect empowering seminars from Steve Harvey and Rep. Maxine Waters as well.
