BIG SUR, Calif. — A 47-year-old Aptos man became a YouTube celebrity after he ignored a California Highway Patrol officer’s orders, jumped off big Sur’s Bixby Bridge and gleefully flew through the air hanging from a rainbow parachute.On Wednesday, a jury found base jumper Steve Jester guilty of four charges stemming from the Dec. 8 stunt: threatening violence against a peace officer, driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of marijuana and disobeying peace officer orders.the jury found Jester not guilty of making threats of violence against the officer and his wife.the sky diving enthusiast is scheduled to be sentenced on Nov. 2 and faces up to three years in prison.Jester is respected within the California base jumping and sky diving community, but his respect for law enforcement appears minimal in the YouTube video that recorded his jump.Just as Jester began to climb up Bixby Bridge’s ledge, CHP officer Ben Grasmeck pulled up in his marked SUV.”Don’t even think about it, back up right now,” Grasmeck ordered over his SUV’s loud speaker.”Oh, we’re so busted,” Jester said to his filming cameraman, but he continued preparing the parachute strapped to his body.”I’m gonna do it anyway,” Jester decided. “Here we go.”As the CHP officer tried to convince Jester to climb back down from the ledge, the rebellious Aptos man hurled his body off the bridge, executed a mid-air summersault, and glided 85 meters down to the rugged beach below.Jester was arrested, and as CHP officers questioned him in a patrol vehicle while driving to the Monterey County Jail, things turned hostile.during opening arguments Tuesday, prosecutors said an intoxicated Jester threatened to beat up Grasmeck and sexually assault his wife. Grasmeck testified that Jester tried to bribe him by offering free sky diving lessons.Likely because the entire incident was captured on video, it only took two days for the defense and prosecution to present their sides of the case and for the jury to complete their deliberations.

Before getting into the recap, two issues need to be addressed. the first is Jeff Hardy. For those that might not have heard it yet, Jeff Hardy finally plead guilty in a court of law to the charges leveled against him. as a result, Hardy will have to face some harsh punishment…if your idea of “harsh” is 10 days in jail, $100,000 in fees and 2-3 years probation.

Troubled actor Tom Sizemore was arrested Monday and spent a brief time in jail this morning because of a battery warrant.
Some photos of a celebrity man nozzle has the folks at Playgirl all hot and bothered … after the dong shots were allegedly stolen and leaked to the Internet … TMZ has learned. the man connected to the wiener is “Real World: Hollywood” muscle head Joey Kovar– who banked $20k to pose in a fully nude spread that was supposed to be revealed later this year. so when the photos turned up on TheDirty.com recently — Playgirl wasn’t amused … and fired off a cease and desist letter to the website. Playgirl is demanding Dirty honcho Nik Richie immediately take down the shots … or else face the wrath of a lawsuit. at the time of this post, TheDirty had not removed the pics … and we’re told the site has no plans to take them down. TMZ spoke with Joey … who tells us he’s not angry over the whole thing — saying, “I understand people gotta do stuff to get noticed so I’m not mad at them at all.”
Call me hypocritical—as I sit here typing yet another celebrity-focused article at my entertainment writing job—but I have never been a fan of Hollywood blogger Perez Hilton. It’s not that I think he’s too mean (although there is a line, and I think calling people fags while routinely outing closeted celebrities definitely crosses it), it’s that he isn’t funny. I often read The Superficial, after all, and it doesn’t get much meaner and misogynistic than that. the difference is, whoever’s wielding the poison pen at the Superficial is often hilarious, while Perez is just painfully lame. MS-Paint-generated semen/cocaine scribbles across celebrities’ faces? Yeah, call me when you’ve graduated from seventh grade, Perez.

*Actress, television host, philanthropist, producer and golfer Kiki Shepard is once again holding her spectacular 8th annual Celebrity Bowling Challenge designed to raise awareness of Sickle Cell Disease.
The event, to be held Friday, September 16th from 8 pm to 12:30 am at the PINZ Entertainment Center in Studio City, will benefit the programs of the nonprofit K.I.S. Foundation and the Dorothy H. Shepard Scholarship Fund.
