Is Drake leaving Young Money? Rumors have been swirling that the Canadian rapper is leaving Lil Wayne to sign with Jay-Z and Roc Nation. but is he?

Drizzy Drake has been with YMCMB since the start of his career. he owes most of his success to Lil Wayne and his crew. So any idea that he would leave them now is pretty ludicrous.

As expected, Drake nets the third-largest sales week of 2011 for an album, as “Take Care” debuts at no. 1 on the Billboard 200, selling 631,000 copies in its first week according to Nielsen SoundScan. while that’s a slightly smaller number than initially expected, it’s nothing to scoff at. last Friday, industry sources pegged the set’s start around 675,000 to 700,000. Still, the only two sets to sell more in a week this year were Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” debut (1.1 million) and Lil Wayne’s “Tha Carter IV” start (964,000).

Drake fans have been begging for the Young Money rapper to come to South Africa and they’re finally getting their wish as the hip hop superstar arrives for a much-anticipated concert.

On “HYFR (Hell Ya Fuckin’ Right),” one of the few bangers off Drake’s just-leaked, slow jam-heavy sophomore album Take Care, the 25 year-old Toronto rapper calls out journalists for confusing him, with half-baked questions like “Are you high right now?” and “Are you single?” his response? “Get the fuck up out my dressing room.” that anti-press sentiment might explain why Drake has been relatively quiet in the lead-up to his album’s highly anticipated November 15th release. Or maybe he’s just taking a page out of his mysterious protégé Abel Tesfaye’s (A.K.A The Weeknd) book on how to build hype. Tesfaye—the Toronto whiz-kid whose druggy, atmospheric R&B made for some of the most talked about music of the summer—rarely talks to the press, and has only been seen on stage a handful of times.

I don’t want to talk about Lana del Ray’s lips, chillwave or Drake’s feelings anymore. Those topics are all bookish and ultimately pointless, the kind of things debated by folks who enjoy nothing quite as much as the sound of their own voice, discussion points during shift breaks at the co-op or between courses at winter solstice parties. You know, nerd stuff.

He may rap that all he cares about is money and the city that he’s from, but Drake‘s fans also hold a special place in his heart. So rather than hit the stadium circuit for his upcoming Club Paradise Tour, Drizzy plans to keep it intimate with his base — overriding pushback from his handlers.
