His latest video for rock trio The Ettes features comedian Patton Oswalt as Sharpling, who explains that the band’s 8.5-million dollar budget has been spent on “personal services.” The resulting gimmick (lame schlock lit via green screen) is a lo-fi comedy treat courtesy of the GGG band members themselves. St. Vincent Gets Buried Alive With Actor, St. Vincent showed just how easy method acting came to her. in her dark and twisted video for her single “Cruel” (off the forthcoming strange Mercy), the raven-haired musician plays a girl who is kidnapped by a lonely family, forced to act as a desperate housewife until she is killed and buried, seemingly alive. If this sounds grim, the video’s sardonic tone will keep you guessing, as will the singer’s mysterious allure.
Lil Wayne Shows His Sensitive Side
Lil Wayne acts an all-seeing narrator in this sensitive video for Tha Carter single “How to Love.” Tracking the life of one woman’s coming of age in a tumultuous household, Wayne insists that loving is an act of overcoming insecurity. The melodramatic ending is a far cry from “Lollipop.”
