Wesley Snipes cries foul
I know murders that’s got less jail time than Wesley Snipes did for tax evasion. Ok…I’m lying but 3 years is a lot for not paying your taxes.
Hey Wesley…I know I’m a day late and a dollar short but you need a new lawyer.
Wesley Snipes has asked for the jurors who served on his tax trial to be interviewed as he suspects that they had already formed their opinions before the trial begun, according to a tip-off.
The actor was found guilty on three misdemeanor counts of willful failure to file his income tax returns in 2008 was sentenced to three years in prison. His appeal was recently denied and the prosecutor has requested Snipes’ bail to be denied and for him to be sent to jail immediately.
But the actor’s lawyer has now filed a motion for the jury to be questioned after an email from an unnamed juror was sent to them. In it – it claimed that other jurors had already believed Snipes to be guilty before the trial had begun, which denied him the right to a fair trial.
