Actor Denzel Washington named America’s favorite movie star but criticized for avoiding sex scenes.
The Training Day Oscar winner triumphed over legend Clint Eastwood to be named as the best actor in Hollywood.
Yet, critics of Denzel Washington claim the sex symbol rarely features in sex scenes and has even refused to do them in some movies.
In a recent interview the Oscar winner defended his decision saying, “I’m not into the explicitness of sex scenes if it doesn’t fit the movie. I’m not just going to do it because some producer thinks it will sell tickets”.
Another star who also avoided sex scenes prior to “Seven Pounds” was Will Smith who tied for third place on The Actors Poll. Several sources claim Smith’s reluctance to do sex scenes was based on his admiration of Denzel, who often avoided or petitioned the scenes to be cut.

I must say that I admire these gentlemen for not taking those actions. They seem like family men and have shown publicly respect for themselves. This is very understandable and I commend them for paying attention to the message they send and the example they have set for young Black men who are interested in acting. I think we could all learn something from this act- or lack thereof….
