Does J-Lo want to call it quits but… ‘Divorce is not an option’
Singer attempts to put rumors to rest but instead increases break-up speculation.
After weeks of speculation that Jennifer Lopez was divorcing Marc Anthony, J. Lo attempted to finally put the rumors to rest in an interview with In Touch magazine.
“Every time I’m not wearing my ring, people think I’m getting divorced,” Jennifer tells In Touch. “Divorce is not — and was never — an option.”
Some critics believe Lopez’s camp attempted to to “blitz the media” by allowing close friends, such as Benny Median, to give public statements on the same day, “Jennifer and Marc are committed to the future and to one another. All the rumors are just that — rumors.”
As one gossip magazine writer explained, “It’s a little suspicious that J-Lo and her ‘known close associate’ speak out on the same day after the entire camp was quiet for two weeks, that sounds coordinated to me..and anytime its coordinated, their probably hiding something.”
So despite attempts to extinguish rumors, Lopez may have fueled speculation of an impending breakup with husband Mark Anthony.
