Michael Jackson sued for $44 million
MICHAEL JACKSON’s former publicist RAYMONE BAIN is asking the King of Pop for $44 million, plus attorneys fees in her shock lawsuit against her former boss.
Bain is suing the pop superstar for failing to pay for her services, and has filed papers in a Washington, D.C. court.
The spokeswoman was a regular face on news shows during Jackson’s child molestation trial, constantly supporting the pop superstar and defending him from media attacks.
Jackson’s brother Randy reportedly terminated her employment in 2005 shortly before the singer was acquitted of all child molestation charges.
As previously reported, she returned to the King of Pop’s employment in 2006 after she was rehired as General Manager of the Michael Jackson Company.
But Bain has now terminated their working relationship, alleging the Thriller hitmaker reneged on the financial terms of their longstanding agreement.
She claims her attempts to settle the dispute out of court have been snubbed, and she has been forced to resort to taking legal action.
