Girl power…
This weekend Danica Patrick became the first woman ever to win a major auto race as she crossed the finish line of the Indy Car Series event in Motegi, Japan. I love to see people overcome obstacles and break stereotypes to reach their goal or purpose in life.
Some participants in the race tried to downplay the historic win, as if it was just another race. Honestly, I think their mad because they got beat by a girl.

No matter if you’re female, male, Black or White, if you do something no one thought you could then it pushes me to do the same. People might as well call me Danica Patrick, cuz I want to be that raw in the rap game. I don’t to be compared to the women, I want them saying her lyrics are nicer then men in the rap game!

On April 21, 2008 at 7:19 pmThis is cool and all but women still have a long way to go. I personally don’t think she should be playing with the boys. I know that sounds wrong but the reality is boys and girls sports should be separate even in car racing. Just my opinion.

Hopefully one day there will be a big enough demand where women can have their own races, but personally I like playing with the guys and I actually play a lot better. And I think her playing with the guys proved more than it ever would if she was playing with girls. Think about it, what would be better Lisa Leslie dunking on some Sheryl Swoops or Lisa Leslie dunking on Shaq?

On April 28, 2008 at 12:41 pmI have to disagree with you on this one Torus. Most men sports, I would agree with you. In car racing, everybody is on an even playing field. That’s all about experience, crew, and know how. As a matter of fact, I think women would have the advantage in speed because of their natural weight. If they can think as aggressive as men, I would actually consider them the favorite.
