Dear Mr. President. I have a real complaint about the insurance companies. I own a small modular for which I have homeowner’s insurance. We had Shelter insurance 1st and my brother in law cut his thumb almost off fixing a porch for us. I called my insurance and they said it wasn’t covered. No money exchange hands. Then our roof got a leak in it and again I called our insurance company. They sent a man out to look and he said it was not covered because it looked old. Again, no money exchanged hands. I changed insurance companies and have had it for approx. 3 years. No claims, until the roof on my shed was damaged. I call my recent insurance company and was told my deductable was increased do to two claims. They said just because I called the insurance to report something and even if they did not pay anything that it is a claim and the underwritters increase our deductable. That is ****. They make money off of us to start with and even if they don’t pay out they increase our payments to them. How can that be right. I am, according to the irs proverty level working for the schools in Arkansas. I only made a total of 12.thousand dollars this year. I need my money as well as anyone else. I pay my bills but big business does not have to. When is the government going to help little people like me and not the establisment like insurance companies! How can it be legal for them to do that to people? That is robbery.
    Please help.

    Thank you,
