A light may finally be shed on the life-style of gay black men.

Following in the foot-steps of Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” a new show was pitched to networks showing the real lives of gay black men in Atlanta.

The controversial reality show will reportedly display the secrets double lives of professional black men.  “We’re just tired of being straight during the day and gay at night.  Our community needs to at least respect us.  They don’t have to accept it, but please respect it,” said one participant in the reality show.

The pilot was secretly pitched for fear that religious groups would work to boycott the series.  As the show’s producer explained, “Especially the Black Church seems to think we want to encourage kids to be gay.  We just want to encourage people to be themselves”.

Bravo and other networks are reportedly in the running to land the series which will apparently feature at least one “well-know black celebrity figure”.

Please we do not need a reality show featuring gay men NO!!!! I have nothing against there life style but we don’t need to see it on TV. It is just another way of putting our black men on the spot please don’t let them do that anymore. They have already exploited our black women still talking about there business on the web and on tv we need to stop this seriously I don’t think they should have been able to still talk about these ladies lives!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Can’t say I didn’t see this coming. There’s a reality show for everything. But the beauty of it all is, no one has to watch it. If you don’t want to watch it, turn the channel and if you do, well keep it on… as for me, I’ll pass… I don’t entertain myself with reality T.V. and I surely won’t start at the idea of down low brothers, which are really just boys who aren’t man enough to come out and say they’re gay…

Im good homie… I mean if thats what people want to watch then let em watch it. To hide it wont stop it but at the same time some material dont interest me. To be honest Im more interested in how well the show will do. My Guess is it will take off fast then when people figure out they just like any other gay community people will loose interest fast. I think people are curious not interested but time will tell.

Anything to make a buck. People will come out with anything and make some fools of themselves. Maybe the show will help gay men gone and come out of the closet so that the women wont have to wonder. I for one will not be watching it. I have gays in my family and a 2 gay friends and they are enough. I respect their choices but I dont have to live it and I definitely wont watch it

THEY NEED TO HAVE THIS SHOW, ITS NOT GLAMORIZING HOMOSEXUALITY BUT IT’LL SHED LIGHT ON SO MANY BLACK WOMEN GETTING INFECTED WITH HIV, BECAUSE OF THESE DL MEN. BY NOT SHOWING IT ON TV DOESNT MEAN IT DOESNT EXIST. IF YOU DONT WANT TO WATCH IT….TURN THE CHANNEL, CAUSE I KNOW I’LL BE A FAITHFUL VIEWER….

I would like to see this get aired. So what if others feel that it should not be on tv there are a million other channels you can tune into. People with certain roles and lifestyles think that only there role and lifestyle should be the prime example or should be seen. This is 2010 and America if you don’t like what the next person does then take my advise. Get a life and a hobby.

Sistaz are not becoming HIV infected because of
DL men, they are becoming infected because they
are stupidly engaging in far less safe sex practices.
Nowadays, my sistaz, you can catch something BESIDES
a pregnancy, yet you are, time after time, s-t-i-l-l
having condomless sex. WHY???? Should you come down
with a case, then you have to accept your share of the
responsibility!!!! Unless you were raped, you knowingly
and willingly spread your legs, so if you did so raw, then
you are equally culpable for whatever outcome should
arise. There are some out there who are not even aware
they are HIV positive, so how COULD they first inform you?
    Protect yourself!!!!!
