President Obama causes beer controversy
President Obama caused quite a stir when he appeared courtside at a recent NBA game, but a bigger conspiracy revolved around his drink of choice.
At Saturday night’s NBA game between the Chicago Bulls and the Washington Wizards, all eyes weren’t on the ball.
Instead they were on a courtside distraction of presidential proportions as President Obama, casually dressed and interacting with fans, sat court-side to cheer on his hometown team.
During the game, President Obama enjoyed a beer, which caused beer executives to scramble in an attempted to decipher what kind of beer the President was drinking.
The White House received so many requests from beer companies attempting to capitalize on the President’s drink of choice that they reportedly issued a statement saying, “any such advertisement featuring the President or his likeness will immediately be removed and permanently disgarded.”
Needless to say, the White House refused any further comment. I’m just glad he wasn’t drinking a ‘40 oz’…he would have never lived that one down.
