Biggie’s mom calls Lil’ Kim out on racist comments

Notorious B.I.G.’s mother has blasted Lil’ Kim after the female MC branded the actress chosen to play her in biopic Notorious as “too dark”.

The rapper Lil Kim ignited a war of words with the slain hip hop legend’s mother Voletta Wallace, and his widow, Faith Evans, insisting the pair helped producers of the movie to portray her in a negative light.

According to insider reports, Kim allegedly demanded the filmaker to choose an Asian or Hispanic actress to play her in the film because the chosen actress was “too black…way too dark”.

And Wallace has backed-up the reports and recently publicly criticized the rapper saying, “Do you know why the character was too dark for her? Because she’s a white woman trapped in a black woman’s body, and you can tell the world I said it, because those are Lil’ Kim’s words. She should be ashamed of herself.”

Wallace goes on to add, “Tell Lil Kim to go find herself, go drink a cup of green tea and get a life! This movie is not about Lil Kim.  She felt we used her character to promote (the project, but) this movie is about my son… Lil’ Kim needs to go sit down.”

Sounds like fighting words to us.

wow… My personal opinion the lil kim in the movie was just fine. I think they did a good job on all the characters keeping in mind none of the characters came close to the actual people. I put myself in kims shoes for what ever reason if i was not happy about how somebody portrayed me in a movie then they gonna have to change it. If they couldnt come to a compromise were both parties kim and the producers were satisfied they should have left her out of the movie. If she wasnt worth compromising with then it shouldnt be a problem leaving her out. Mrs wallace says its not about lil kim its about biggie. Ok… So take away Puff, lil cease, lil kim and all the other people we know what do you have. A LAME MOVIE that doesnt come close to telling biggies story. Kim mite not be comfortable in her own skin but doesnt change the fact she still the same kim biggie made apart of his life.

Ok Pro you have a good point and I really like what you had to say, I couldn’t have said it better. Now speaking on what Kim said, as a sister who’s skin is silky and chocolately smooth it can be very insulting. The sad thing is I like Lil’ Kim’s music alot but if I knew her I would slap the shit out of her for that comment. You can be proud of who you are and like or dislike your skin color without trying to put down someone else because of their beautiful skin. Hell if she is that ashamed of her skin maybe she should get with Michael Jackson and he can guide her towards the steps of bleaching her skin like he did.
