Akon dies on radio
Don’t worry Akon will still be around, he just quit his day job…after one day.
R&B star AKON has quit his London radio show after just one broadcast.
His radio debut aired on 13 February (10), but the timeslot’s previous host filled in for the star last week (20Feb10). Now bosses at the station have confirmed Akon won’t be returning.
A spokesman for Global Radio, the company which owns Capital FM, tells Guardian Online, "Due to Akon’s commitments, he wont’ be doing the show. Its a real disappointment because we invested tons of money and got almost no return."
