I am interested in protecting children in our communities and most especially the African albino children regarded as outcasts and curses in many primitive African cultures.Discrimination and Neglect for these people in the rural families. It pains me a great deal seeing them regarded as if they are not humans, being denied opportunities for almost any development participation.
It stuns me to hear that they are being hunted and murdered for witchcraft as are stories in Tanzania , Senegal and many other African cultures.
In the very past,in our communities , young mothers would not accept to breast her newly born albino baby until it died of hunger, then she would get relief. Even so, she would be terribly hated for bringing an a bomination to the family.
However some others would strungle the albino baby at birth and claim the child was taken by a ghost, dry the body secretly for witchcraft charms.
