Singer/songwriter for Danity Kane Dawn Richard has found herself with few options after Diddy’s disintegration of the all girl band.
The group, put together by Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs for his MTV’s Making The Band, confirmed it was no more on Thursday.
The singer admits she has been forced to put her own music career on ice in response to Diddy demands to write songs for other artists, specifically his girl-toy Cassie.
Richard said in a recent interview, “Puff is trying me on some things but you never know with him. You’ll be singing the whole thing and the song comes out and it’s another girl. I can’t say anything definitely.”
The singer/song writer goes on to explain, “Our lives are on hold right now. It’s not like I want to be hustling like this. I’m doing it ’cause I have to. The only choice is to move forward.”
Several record labels have attempted to negotiate a release of Richard from BadBoy Records, but Diddy has denied any requests as insiders suspect he is only using Richard to groom BadBoy recording artist, and his rumored girlfriend, Cassie.
