Hip hop star falls short at the ticket booth and pays the price.
The inauguration has become a gigantic bust for Ludacris after his inaugural party failed to sell enough tickets and was canceled. Normally a cancellation wouldn’t be a big deal, but the venue owners are claiming they missed out an opportunity to host a profitable Presidential function, and now they want to get paid.
According to several reports, the rapper is still on the hook for more than $50,000 plus cancellation fees. In addition, the Marriott hotel has required Luda to pay for the 7 hotel suites shared by the rapper and his entourage claiming, “those were only perks of the show…but unfortunately that’s been canceled”.
Several parties in the D.C. area were canceled due to a lack of ticket sells as many promoters assumed that every venue would automatically sell out. Said one club promoter, “This ain’t no different than any other event…he who gets the word out makes the most money”.
