Prison-bound rapper T.I. was back in court on Friday as part of his sentence for illegal weapons possession.
The rapper, whose real name Clifford Harris, Jr., is due to begin a year-long jail term next month (March 09) for illegal weapons possession after being caught trying to buy an arsenal of guns from an undercover FBI agent.
As part of his plea deal, T.I. agreed to complete 1,000 hours of community service, which included talking to youngsters to keep them on the right side of the law.
At the Georgia Supreme Court he warned at-risk students, “You can see from me that nobody is too rich, too famous, too cool, too good-looking or too young to make a mistake and pay a price for it.”
We’ve seen T.I. become somewhat of a role model since his sentencing by reaching out to the youth and doing conscious music. I’m still on the fence as to wether he will maintain this new lifestyle once he gets out of prison.
Do you think he’s really changed or is it more like “once a knuckle-head always a knuckle-head”?
