Is 50 Cent desperate?
Multi-platinum rap star’s career begins to fade.
Over the past several years it seems like 50 Cent has become a distant star fading into the hip hop sunset, which make many people wonder just how much shine he has left.
Said one east coast rapper, “I don’t even recognize him no more. Its like he’s become a walking publicity stunt. The successful 50′ made good music cause that’s all he was concerned about…that’s not the case no more.”
Recent initiated beefs and trash talk at current supposed enemies Kanye West and Lil Wayne has been recognized by some fans as signs of desperation. Said one hip hop journalist, “It’s insanity, he keeps trying to stir up controversy but that card is played out. Like Obama said, its time for a change in hip hop too.”
In 50’s defense, “he’s still a legitimate talent who’s made some great music over the years. Plus, he has a lot of money so we expect him to be around hip hop for a long time,” said a veteran producer. The only question is, “How much longer will he still be rapping…at some point you gotta’ walk away.”

By talkin bout ja rule. that’s all that made him famous to me. and now he looks wrong cuz all the stuff he talked about with ja rule he doing. he’s singing on everysingle song now.

It will turn around eventually, I guess ill wait it out but for now Im not feeling where we at wit it. I hope 50 moves on to movies or comedy. I like watchen him just dont feel what he represents to the music.
