Russell Simmons launches clothing line for poor folks
Hip-hop icon Russell Simmons has teamed up with Wal-Mart to launch a new budget fashion range.
The Def Jam Records co-founder and former Phat Farm head has taken charge of American Classic, with items priced between $9.99 and $29.
The line will feature items including knit and woven shirts, sweater vests, denims and casual sports shoes.
The clothing line is intended to give affordable urban style to families in stressful financial situations.
I wonder how many self-absorbed hip-hop stars would be willing to endorse these clothes even though they are sold at Walmart?
