Jay-Z and Beyonce have a high priced addiction to art and some suspect the couple is looking to display their collection at an exhibit in New York.
The hip-hop mogul insists his collection is merely a “high priced hobby” but several New York art experts claim the couple has gradually comprised a “one of a kind portfolio”.
Said one art historian, “They are buying great pieces at extremely low prices due to the economy. My guess is they will make a fortune when things turn around.”
It’s a well know fact that Beyonce has an art fetish and even creates original pieces of her own. Said the singer, “I’m building a collection but at the moment I am just seeing where it takes me”.
Rumors in the underground “artsy districts” of New York expect the couple to display their collection along with original piece from Beyonce in the fall of 2009, and some expect Jay-Z to become a professional art dealer when he retires from rap.
