Amy Winehouse claims medical need for marijuana
Singer attempts to appeal drug charge based on medical illness.
Amy Winehouse will appear in a Norwegian court this month to appeal drug possession charges from just over a year ago.
The drug addicted singer is set to appeal a $430 fine she paid in 2007 for allegedly carrying seven grams of marijuana.
Winehouse was reportedly upset at being forced to pay the required fine before being released. To support her case, sources claim that Winehouse plans to reveal an “unknown illness” which requires medical marijuana treatment.
The singer is scheduled to appear in court Monday, January 12 in Norway.
