Did you know Jennifer Hudson lip-synced Super Bowl Performance
Singer Jennifer Hudson lip-synced the U.S. national anthem at Super Bowl.
Producers insisted she sing to a prerecorded track to avoid a potentially disastrous performance.
Hudson wowed millions of viewers with her comeback marking her first public appearance since her mother, brother and nephew were shot dead in October of 2008.
The senior producer in command explained, “This was such an important performance, because it’s the first time everyone has seen Jennifer. There’s too many variables to go live. I would never recommend any artist go live, because the slightest glitch would devastate the performance.”
As expected, some critics felt Hudson wasn’t capable of pulling off the live performance, and described the lip-synching as “a major let-down for someone of her caliber.”
Considering everything she’s been through, we thought it was a great performance. Watch it again for the first time.

On February 3, 2009 at 7:18 amEVERYONE HAS TO LIP-SYNC THEIR PERFORMANCE. ITS SUPERBOWL RULES AND GUIDELINES. THERE IS TOO MUCH ROOM FOR ERROR FOR ANYONE TO DO IT LIVE. SO THIS SHOULDN’T BE NEWS!

On February 3, 2009 at 12:28 pmPeople should really get over it… EVERYONE lip sync’s the superbowl performances… even the half-time show. The networks want the performances to be flawless for that day, because it’s their premier event. Let’s get to the heart of the matter… she STILL ripped the Star-Spangled Banner a new one in the studio. Now compare her lip sync’d version to ALL the other lip sync’ed superbowl performances of that song, and doesn’t she still outshine most of them? I agree with The One, this shouldn’t be news.
