“Get in my belly…or I’ll shoot ya”. Ok, I gave it a shot now it’s your turn.

Let me hear your best caption.

Poor Wesley

Posted by JJSaidIt Staff

Wesley Snipes was sentenced to 3 years in prison for tax evasion despite having multiple celebrities such as Denzel Washington and Woody Harrelson, testify on his behalf. To his credit, Wesley admitted to being ignorant of the inner workings of tax law and apologized for his mistakes.

I don’t buy it. Wesley made more than $13 million in one year and he didn’t pay taxes because he didn’t want to. He even went to the point of recommending that his employees not pay taxes.

I hate paying taxes too! Who doesn’t? Nevertheless, if he’s stupid enough to risk going to prison versus paying his taxes, it’s hard to feel sorry for him. I just hope he remembers all those fighting moves from “Blade” because he’s gone have to fight-off more than vampires in prison.

Curious George…

Just as I was getting fed up with the ruthless fighting between Obama and Clinton, I saw this video and realized how lucky we are that Bush will soon be out of the White House.

Is he really that stupid?

Akon lied…

Posted April 24, 2008 by JJSaidIt Staff

Akon, who’s featured on almost as many songs as T-Pain, has been exposed for exaggerating his checkered past. It is suspected that Akon lied about his run-ins with the law in order to boost his “street cred” and record sells.

It’s a sad situation because he’s just one of many fake hip-hop artists.

With that being said, I’m going to start giving them names. Here’s to “Akon the Fake.”

Killing me softly…

Posted by JJSaidIt Staff

Here’s another one of those “watch out…this can kill you too” moments. It seems that every day we hear a new study about a food or drink that can kill you or lead to some sort of cancer. Well, guess what, here’s another one.

Apparently, there’s a substance called Bisphenol A (BPA) that is found in most plastic items including everything from baby bottles to food storage containers. Studies have found that BPA has been known to transpose from containers to the human body and, worst of all, it can possibly cause cancerous tumor and unknown medical problems.

I just figured that I should share this depressing news to confirm that just about everything you do is slowly killing you.

Now, go have great day!

N*gger what…

Nas’s new album is expected to drop July 1 and is titled Nigger. Yep, Nas took it there. Critics have voiced displeasure over the album title saying it is insensitive to the plight of black people.

I think it’s insensitive to the plight of all people. It’s sad to see one of the rap games best lyricist resort to an ignorant marketing ploy just to sell albums. Congratulations Nas, you’re officially a platinum “sell out”.

Legal slavery…

Posted by JJSaidIt Staff

“The United States has less than 5 percent of the world’s population. But it has almost a quarter of the world’s prisoners.”

I was amazed by this statistic so I had to look deeper. After some research, I found “the other truth.” Once upon a time, all prisons were state or federal government run facilities whose sole purpose was to house criminals. Then Wall Street came up with the grand idea of contracting with the prisons to allow criminals to produce goods.

It was like hitting a gold mine because companies were able to pay “sweat shop” type labor rates (as low as .17 cent an hour) to inmates. Some analysts consider the Prison Industry to be one of the fastest growing investment markets in the country. In other words, there is incentive for States and big businesses to have a large prison population.

Obviously, these inmates are in prison because they committed a crime, but does it concern you that for every person that is imprisoned, a corporate executive is somewhere smiling.

Ole’ Kanye

Posted April 22, 2008 by JJSaidIt Staff

Kanye West and Alexis Phifer, his fiancée of a year and a half, have called off their engagement citing Kanye’s busy schedule as the primary reason for the breakup.

I’m sure the rumors about Kanye being gay will surface once again. Normally I would add fuel to the fire, but in this case, I’ll take it easy on him especially since he might want to sign me to a record deal one day.

Crazy kids…

Posted by JJSaidIt Staff

In South Carolina, another middle class suburban kid with “good parents” tried to blow-up his high school. The headline of the article reads, “Mental evaluation sought for student accused in bomb plot“…that’s a good place to start.

I would then say, “Go after the parents!”, but in a twist of sad irony, the parents were the ones who alerted police of their son’s suspicious behavior, so they should be praised for not being in denial.

Although the incident was prevented, can you imagine if an entire high school blows up in the middle of suburban America? Scary huh! Even scarier, is the fact that we wouldn’t be able to blame it on somebody with a Muslim name like Osama Bin laden or any of his friends. Instead, we would have to look at ourselves because American culture, with all of its greatness, created this would-be high school terrorist.

So what shall we do…or should we just expect to see an occasional high school terrorist from now on?

Say it ain’t so…

American Idol winner Jordin Sparks was removed from Alicia Key’s tour due to a vocal cord injury. Initially the injury was thought to be minor, but further tests have shown the injury to be career threatening if not treated properly.

I’m not a big fan of Jordin Sparks, but I wouldn’t even wish this injury on 50 Cent….well maybe I would.
