Michael Jackson hair on fire…the video
Shocking video footage of MICHAEL JACKSON’s hair catching fire on the set of a Pepsi commercial in 1984 has been released for the first time.
A pyrotechnic exploded early as the singer descended steps onstage at Los Angeles’ Shrine Auditorium and flames engulfed his entire head.
The film footage shows the late superstar continuing to sing and dance for seconds, unaware his head was alight, before stagehands leaped on him and extinguished the blaze.
Jackson was left with second and third-degree burns on his scalp and body. He required a series of operations, and was left in severe pain.
It has been claimed painkillers prescribed to him after the accident kickstarted his addiction to strong medication, and the damage to his scalp explains rumors he was completely bald at the time of his death last month from a cardiac arrest.
