MJ’s ‘Thriller’ to become a musical
Entertainer Michael Jackson may experience rebirth of hit song “Thriller” as Broadway musical.
A musical production company has recently acquired the rights for a stage version of Jackson’s iconic music-video “Thriller”. The show will include songs from two of the pop king’s best-selling albums, “Thriller” and “Off the Wall.”
Reportedly, Jackson was initially against the idea of having the musical created but opted to sell the rights after having a difficult time meeting financial obligations.
Yet producers believe there is huge demand for the musical production. “Michael Jackson represents live theater and musical excellence, so let the music begin,” said a spokesman.
There are still no details as to how involved the King of Pop will be in
development of the musical, but sources claim Jackson still retained some veto power on the final project.
Here’s the important question, “Would you pay to go see it?”
